Portrait of Gobo

Gobo

Bambi's childhood friend who is saved by 'Him'.

From "Bambi" by Salten, Felix

Core Belief

"Power and protection come from aligning oneself with the dominant force, even if it means sacrificing one's own independence and critical thinking."

Worldview

He sees the world as a hierarchy, where safety and comfort are achieved by serving those in power. He is blind to the potential dangers of this approach and dismisses any dissenting voices as misguided or envious.

Personality

Initially timid and weak, Gobo becomes arrogant and self-important after being saved by 'Him'. He is easily swayed by external validation and struggles to grasp the true nature of danger. His naivete ultimately leads to his demise.

In Their Own Words

"The danger ... that’s something very bad ..."
"It was Him who saved me ..."
"Well, I’m only glad I haven’t got any children any more. If he was my little one I’d be worried about whether he gets through the winter."
