Back to Twenty years after

Core Belief

"Justice, as he defines it, must be served, regardless of the cost. He believes in punishing those he deems guilty and upholding the Puritan cause."

Worldview

Mordaunt sees the world as a battleground between good and evil, where he is an instrument of divine retribution. He is consumed by hatred and a desire for vengeance, which clouds his judgment and makes him a dangerous zealot.

Personality

Driven by a burning desire for revenge against those who wronged his mother, Mordaunt is a ruthless, cunning, and fanatical Puritan. He is intelligent and resourceful, but also cold, implacable, and devoid of compassion. Bitter and full of hatred.

In Their Own Words

"“Sir,” cried the man, “in the name of Heaven put your sword back into the sheath and don’t kill me unheard. I’m no thief, but an honest citizen, well off in the world, with a house of my own. My name is—ah! but surely you are Monsieur d’Artagnan?”"
"“A favorite! no, indeed!” cried D’Artagnan. “Ah, my poor friend! I am just as poor a Gascon as when I saw you at Meung, twenty-two years ago, you know; alas!” and he concluded his speech with a deep sigh."
"“Nevertheless, you come as one in authority.”"
