NYC’s iconic Martha Graham Dance Company becomes latest Kennedy Center cancellation - New York Daily News

The silencing of Martha Graham's company echoes the suppression of abolitionist voices. Art, like freedom, must be defended against those who seek to control expression. Political divisions should not suffocate creativity. Denying access to art is akin to denying access to knowledge, a tool of oppression.

It's regrettable when opportunities for artistic expression are lost. However, we mustn't let disagreements halt progress. Building bridges through shared experiences, even in art, is vital. Remember, after slavery, we built Tuskegee, brick by brick, demonstrating that progress comes from creation, not destruction.
